Killing Insecurity Will Change the World

It does not take much time to look around and see we have issues with loving our neighbors in the world. One glance at the news or even a Twitter feed and you can see a lack of value for human life. We see and hear of mass shootings, racist hate crimes, bullying, abuse, and simply the lack of regard for human life.

I read a study recently that troubled me; it stated that there had been a rise in suicides among children. Children who are supposed to be in one of the greatest seasons of their lives are taking their lives.

Everything is blamed on mental illness. Yet there is a silent killer at work and it’s insecurity. Insecurity is toxic to the soul. There is a cure and it does not involve popping pills or being stuck in therapy for life.

Insecurity is rooted in fear, uncertainty, and torment. Bullies are insecure and they target others to make them feel insecure. If someone is trying to bring you low, they already subconsciously feel low or that you are above them. The desire to diminish another human being to feel superior is not confidence, it’s insecurity.

Confident people love to build others up and help others. Confident people value their own lives and can therefore value the life of another. Confident people are okay with someone else winning and someone else being noticed. Confident people do not need to push others down because they have no rival!

It is imperative that we learn to love ourselves in healthy way. The way we love ourselves is how we will love our neighbor. We can chant all day, “Love your neighbor!” Yet only the person full of love can give love away. We can not and will not be able to give away what we do not possess.

If you ask me for a million dollars and I have 2,000 dollars, you will not get a million dollars from me. Why? I do not have a million dollars to give you. The same concept can be applied to love, peace, joy, acceptance, hope. We can only give away what we first possess.

We have a world full of people trying to figure out who they are, what their value and worth is, and battling the lies of they are not good enough or inferior or superior to someone else!!

You are enough!

You are significant!

You have tremendous worth!

You are so deeply loved!!

The cure for the insanity, I believe, is wrapped up in a man named Jesus. He gave His life for ALL of humanity. He signified the worth and value of every human being. God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten son (John 3:16).

God says you and I are valuable and no one can change our value. The value of something is determined by how much someone is willing to pay. Jesus gave His life.

We are priceless, of mega worth. Receiving the magnitude of God’s love for ourselves is a way to have inner peace, hope, joy, love to give away!

I focus on soul healing, identity, and love because they are so important. God is love (1 John 4:8) and we have a world full of people looking for love in all the wrong places, searching for validation and approval, struggling with wounds of rejection and pain. The solution is found in God!

If you have not already, check out the Confident & Free videos on FB. Invite God in to heal low self esteem, insecurity, low self worth, fear, and wounds of rejection! I am cheering for you!!

You are so loved!

Warmly,

Erin Lamb
